These are the tasks that keep the center tidy during the week. We take about 15 min to do them every day after breakfast. When the participants come they are invited to sign up for a task (girls) or we have assigned them before they arrive (guys).

Task List

These are the tasks that keep the center tidy during the week. We take about 15 min to do them every day after breakfast. When the participants come they are invited to sign up for a task (girls) or we have assigned them before they arrive (guys).

Washing Dishes – (This applies to the breakfast dishes, but please be available to help prepare the water for all the meals) 2 buckets soapy water 1 bucket bleach water 2 buckets clear (found in the great kitchen)

Drying Dishes - (This applies to the breakfast dishes, but please be available to help get new drying towels for all the meals)

Laundry – find, gather and wash all dirty rags and towels. Redistribute clean ones. Help fold.

Pavilion, Field, Fire pit – keep it clean, gather sports equipment together, move the benches where they need to be. Please also help move the benches after dinner. Red bin for sports stuff

Trash and Recycle - get all the trash from all the containers in the house: bathrooms, kitchen, etc. - separate trash and recycle, - make sure all cans have liners, reuse bags, - leave the trash in the wheelbarrow in the garage The right size trash bags

Art Supplies – Please organize the art supply spaces look around for and put back supplies

Vacuum – You decide each day what needs to be vacuumed (house, chapel, etc.) do something new each day. The vacuum is found in the house cleaning closet, please return it with the cord wrapped.

Garden – Water the flowers planted outside (don’t miss the hanging baskets ant the flowers by the front sign)! Pull some weeds. You can also pick some wild flowers for the chapel, but make sure to throw out old ones. The hose is found on the back side of the chapel.

House Bathroom Upstairs Upstairs House Bathroom Cleaning checklist These seven steps can be done in 15 minutes

You should find spray disinfectant, toilet bowl cleaner, window cleaner, clean rags, a broom and dustpan, a mop and bucket in the cleaning closet in this bathroom. If something is missing, get it from the washroom supply station.

1) Clean the sink and counter: spray with a disinfectant, wipe clean with a rag.

2) Clean the mirror: spray with glass cleaner, wipe clean with a paper towel.

3)Clean the shower: take a piece of toilet paper and remove hair from drain and throw it in the trash. Spray walls with disinfectant and wipe with a rag; use a scrub brush if needed.

4) Clean the toilet: put toilet bowl cleaner in the bowl and scrub with a toilet brush. Clean the seat and under the seat with disinfectant spray and a rag.

5)Clean the floor: Sweep with a broom. Fill the bucket with water from the shower (the shower head comes off) and a cap-full of all-purpose cleaner. Mop the floor. Dump the dirty water in the toilet when finished.

6) Restock toilet paper and paper towels – bring them up from the Great Room.

7)Empty trash if it is full – bring it to the great room transfer station

Put the rag in the “dirty rag” basket/ bucket when finished. If you have used all the clean rags, bring the dirty rags down to the laundry and pick up clean ones.

Great Room Men's and Women’s Bathroom Great Room Men’s and Women’s Bathrooms Cleaning checklist These six steps can be done in 15 minutes

You should find spray disinfectant, toilet bowl cleaner, window cleaner, clean dry rags, a broom and dustpan, a mop and bucket stationed in this bathroom. Get cleaning rags and any missing items from the washroom supply station (near the laundry machines)..

1) Clean the sinks: spray with a disinfectant, wipe clean with a rag.

2) Clean the mirror: spray with glass cleaner, wipe clean with a paper towel.

3) Clean the three toilets: put toilet bowl cleaner in the bowls and scrub with toilet brush. Clean the seats and under the seats with disinfectant spray and a rag.

4) Clean the floor: sweep with a broom. Fill the bucket with water from the washroom steel sink and a cap-full of all-purpose cleaner. Mop the floor. Dump dirty water in a toilet when finished.

5) Restock toilet paper and paper towels – get them from the Great Room.

6) Empty trash bins if they are full – put trash in the great room transfer station. Put a new bag in the wastebasket (you can get a new bag from the transfer station).

Put the rag in the bin by the laundry machine in the washroom when finished.

Sweep Great Room – the Great Room is the room between the studio and the (great) kitchen. Please make sure the floor is clean with attention to the entry ways.

Chapel – the chapel is a big place, look for what needs to be put in order: sanctuary swept, prayer books ordered, dust pews, wash windows, etc. In the house cleaning closet (please return them)

Sleeping areas – straighten the cots, throw out trash, release wild animals back into the woods. Exhort friends to pick up their stuff if they need to.

Clean Studio – Pick up any trash, return cups, coil cables, straighten things up, sweep floor.
