We are engaged in spiritual warfare, whether we will it or not. Our enemy is a compound of the world, the flesh, and the devil. There are a number of recognizable patterns of attack that can weaken or defeat us.
Our enemy:
- Makes good seem evil and evil seem good.
- Draws us toward extremes and away from the path of virtue.
- Inspires self-centered perfectionism.
- Encourages counterfeit piety.
