Greek: Χαρμολύπη.

The light of sadness.

Joy and sorrow mixed together.

This attitude of mourning is what the Fathers of the Church call joyful sorrow, harmolupe. The idea comes from St. Paul who said the apostles were,

“as sorrowful yet always rejoicing.”
