- Man / Son of Man

Numbers 23:19

"God is not as a man, that he should lie nor as a son of man, that he should be changed" .

Isaiah 56:2

"Blessed is the man that doth this and the son of man that shall lay hold on this."

Psalm 79:18

"Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand: and upon the son of man whom thou hast confirmed for thyself."

Psalm 33

"By the word of the LORD the heavens were made; by the breath of his mouth all their host" (6).

"For he spoke, and it came to be, commanded, and it stood in place" (9).

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God, and the Word was God" (Jn 1:1).

Exult greatly, O daughter Zion!

a just savior is he,

Humble, and riding on a donkey,

on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

The middle phrase, "just savior," is more literally "just and victorious." It does not use the Hebrew word, goel, redeemer, or yasha, deliverer.

- Ps 135:4

For the LORD has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel as his treasured possession.

"Jacob" is "Israel." They are two names for the same person, not two separate people! In choosing Jacob/Israel, God also chooses all of Jacob's descendants, who are collectively called "Israel."

Canticle - Judith 16:14

Let your every creature serve you;

for you spoke, and they were made,

you sent forth your spirit, and they were created;

no one can resist your word.
